Some cosmetic dentistry treatments can be done immediately, before your big day

Depending on your specific needs, there are a variety of cosmetic dentistry options that Dr. Alexander can make available to you. If you can see older fillings when you smile, they can be replaced with tooth-colored composite fillings that look like your natural tooth enamel. You can have your teeth bleached to your desired shade before the filling color is matched and the new fillings are done. If you have intrinsic stains that are not removed by teeth whitening, composite bonding can be applied to mask those stains. Porcelain dental veneers can be used to correct a number of cosmetic flaws. If you are a good candidate for veneers, the treatment can be completed in a couple of appointments, a week or two apart. If you have a badly stained and damaged tooth, it can be crowned within two appointments, a week or two apart. If it will take longer, a provisional crown made of acrylic will look almost like a beautiful, healthy tooth. If you are missing one or more teeth, Dr. Alexander will recommend a temporary prosthetic treatment to fill in the gap until you can have a dental implant and go through the dental implant osseointegration and restoration process. Or, he will provide crown and bridge treatment or a removable denture based on your preferences and budget. If the final custom prosthetics will not be done in time, a provisional prosthesis made of inexpensive acrylic will allow you to smile for photos with confidence.
