With all of today’s over-the-counter teeth bleaching products, why do patients still seek in-office teeth whitening or bleaching?
“The answer is simple,” says Dr Jamie J. Alexander, cosmetic and implant dentist in Boynton Beach. “They want to be certain that their teeth will be lightened quickly and be brightened significantly within an hour. They haven’t found that to be the case with over-the-counter whitening strips, trays, pen-on bleach, and paint-on bleach. I’ve set up a system for my own patients so they can do fast whitening in my office and also have the convenience and affordability of at-home whitening for touch ups. Alternatively, they can use custom trays and clinical products entirely at home, and the process they use will predictably work within a few days of repeated use.”
The custom trays ensure that the bleaching gel is kept close against the full surface of the front of each tooth during the time you are bleaching. This is the most effective way to get the results you want. Many of our patients join our White Teeth for Life program, making their regular teeth whitening affordable. All you have to do is purchase an in-office or take-home whitening procedure that includes custom-made whitening trays and tell us you want to join the program. Whichever whitening procedure you choose for your initial whitening, we will take impressions of your mouth, have custom whitening trays made that fit your mouth optimally, and supply whitening gel for you to use in your trays. We will supply you with the appropriate instructions and guidance you need for safe, comfortable and effective results. Once you enroll in the program, make sure to maintain your regular scheduled hygiene appointments as prescribed by Dr. Alexander, and we’ll give you a free whitening gel syringe after each appointment. This way, you are rewarded for being our loyal patient, and you can brighten your smile whenever you want a touch up.
